L’Ilot is a rock platform of 3,100m² situated in the lagoon of Roches Noires, on the North East coast of Mauritius, at approximately 100m from the coastline.
Access is via a rock and wood bridged causeway. Positioned on a sand bed and surrounded by filaos trees, this vast villa of almost 300m² faces North-West, with its back to prevailing breezes.
L’Ilot offers a unique location, surrounded by the lagoon and facing the islands North of Mauritius, “Île Ronde”, “Île aux Serpents”, with a breathtaking view of the turquoise lagoon, seen from any room in the house.
The villa sleeps 6 adults and 2 children (a 3rd child is possible, depending on the age), in 4 bedrooms.

Bedrooms

Room 1 – 26m2 :
Room, At apartment level, direct access to the terrace. This bedroom has 1 double bed 180 cm. Bathroom ensuite. WC in the bathroom.

Room 2 – 22m2 :
Room, At apartment level, direct access to the terrace. This bedroom has 1 double bed 180 cm configurable in twin beds. Bathroom ensuite. WC in the bathroom.

Room 3 – 14m2 :
Room, At apartment level. This bedroom has 3 single bed. Bathroom shared, with bathtub. WC in the bathroom.

Room 4 – 13m2 :
Room, At apartment level. This bedroom has 2 twin beds. Bathroom shared, with bathtub. WC in the bathroom.

Possibility to join Bedrooms 3 and 4 into an ensuite family suite

Indoors

The building and its interiors are of a refined contemporary style in harmony with the beauty of this unique site: natural building materials, stone, white or weathered wood, raw concrete, natural fabrics, linen, comfortable and adaptable furniture.
The life is organised around the large open veranda (70 m2) with a view of the lagoon to the North, East and West.
The souble living room is 37m², equipped with a flat screen TV with satellite channels. The kitchen is fully equipped and has granite worktop

Outdoors

Outside there is a dining table set up under the trees, and a deck of 35m² overlooking the turquoise sea which allows you to rest there for a sundowner or have your lunch or dinner with a stunning view. A large Weber grill provides quality cooking and a water fountain features permanently fresh water.
An outdoor shower allows you to cool off after swimming and a standby generator that starts automatically ensures a continuous supply of electricity.

Staff & Services

Your days will fly by with the range of choices offered by this intoxicatingly beautiful coastline. Play golf or spa at one of the nearby hotels, take a boat trip to discover the wonders of the lagoon, have a picnic on the sand, play with your family in the water… In the evening, enjoy the tasty cuisine of the nearby resorts or prefer the intimacy of a tête-à-tête on your deck, under the stars.

The price includes : the services of a dedicated Villa Host (available for personalisation of stay from reservation and until check-out), a daily housekeeping service, concierge services (through Villa Host), amenities in villa (shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, hand wash, slippers, bathrobe.), access to 5-stars resort facilities (through Villa Host), kids club.
Note : In Peak season, the price includes the breakfast.

The villa also offers to its guests the possibility of optional services such as : kids services & babysitting, last minute or extra housekeeping service, in-house signature menus & meal plans (breakfast, lunch and dinner), private chef with signature menus, in-house spa treatment, fridge pre-stocking, airport transfers, car rental, early Check-in, late Check-out, boat charter, or any other activity or service needed by guests (through Villa Host).

Location

Roches Noires, on the East coast of Mauritius, is less than 30min away from Grand Baie, known for its luxury shops, restaurants, night life, around 20min from the famous golf courses of the East coast and only 30min from the city of Port Louis.
The villa is on a level with the islet, surrounded by sand and with direct access to the sea.
There is easy access on all sides to the sea. At the front of the house, a small stone stairway takes you down to its own natural bathing pool nested between L’Ilot and two other close by islets.
Safe and peaceful bathing is assured there. To the East is a little jetty leading to deeper waters for swimming and diving.
The light is magical on this turquoise lagoon and low tides are spectacular – a rare phenomenon in Mauritius – exposing vast sand banks. L’Ilot, although an integral part of Mauritius, offers a retreat if desired. With a 360° panorama the scenery is transformed all the time.
Depending on the wind, the light, the ocean swell, L’Ilot shimmers and changes constantly, upwind or downwind, hot or cooled by sea breezes.
