Directly managed by the owners with great care the villa is positioned on a panoramic hillside facing the sea, just 600 meters from “Santa Maria Le Piane” long sandy beach, and commands a spectacular Mediterranean vista – views stretching down to the farthest mountains of the Calabria region (the mountain range that soars above Diamante and Paola) on one side and as far as the Punta (Cape) of the Infreschi and the wild coastal tract bearing the same name between Scario and Marina di Camerota on the other side. Two thirds of the estate is covered with lush woodland thick with cork oak, a plant typical of the environmental niche stretching along the coastline of the Bay of Policastro between S. Marina and Sapri. Surrounded by a big enclosed garden, it is the perfect accommodation for families with children.

The villa is extremely spacious and well equipped with numerous terraces on which to relax with a glass of wine and soak in the views before dining together on the wonderful covered taverna area with its pizza oven and barbecue. A little piece of paradise for families and friends wishing to escape their busy city lives and experiencing the authentic Italian dolce vita and a truly memorable villa holiday at the beach.

The “marina” of Villammare is less than 1 mile therefore you could go walking but a car is recommended because the last part of the road to the villa is steep (that’s the reason why the villa has such a nice views!). Villammare is lively at summer and there are bars, chalets, and shops. It is not a place spoiled by massive tourism and you will find a friendly atmosphere all around and an authentic glimpse of Italy. Restaurants in the surrounding as well as “trattorie” and “pizzerie” serve very good food.

This floor is not air conditioned because it is naturally cooler than the other floors due to the big oak tree at the south front of the villa and because of the big porch made of stone.

Lower terrace with vine covered pergola, large medierranean oak tree providing extra shade and “taverna” style covered dining terrace seating 14 with summer kitchen (sink and fridge), built-in charcoal barbecue and traditional Italian wood-fired pizza oven. 2 further outdoor dining areas on first floor level. Parking for 10 cars.

Location

Cilento, an ancient cultural land in the southernmost area of Campania, has been included by UNESCO in the World Heritage List. In almost one hundred kilometers of coast, there are cliffs overlooking the sea, golden beaches, wild and unspoilt landscapes, and large bays with fully equipped beach clubs.
